Overview
  • Objective: This portfolio is suitable for the investor seeking a greater potential for long-term growth and willing to consider investing for a minimum timescale of 5 years, preferably looking towards 10 years.
    Risk level Risk Category 4: High risk of capital losses. Values and any income may fall as well as rise and the investor may not receive back the amount invested.
    Policy
    • The portfolio seeks to achieve its objective through a diversified portfolio of collective investments, giving exposure mainly to higher risk growth investments, including equity funds and International Property, including those investing internationally.
    • It is also combined with some less volatile investments, mainly fixed interest funds and absolute return funds.
     
    What you'll be investing in
    • A significant proportion of the portfolio will be invested in index tracker funds. These funds aim to provide investors with the same return as the underlying market but may not necessarily perform in exactly the same way as the index they are tracking due to the impact of charges.
    • The remainder of the portfolio will be invested in funds which do not track an index and these funds will be more actively managed.
    • The funds and the fund managers utilised within the Portfolio may vary and full details are available from your Financial Adviser.

    Main fees & charges

Fees & Charges
    • Establishment fee: 1% of the monies we receive from you for investment in your Portfolio will apply if the monies received are less than £500,000 (or currency equivalent). No fee above that amount.
    • Annual management charge: 1.2% per annum of the value of the portfolio
    • Additions to a Portfolio: 1% of any additional monies we receive from you for investment in your Portfolio will apply if the additional monies plus the current value of your Portfolio is less than £500,000 (or currency equivalent)
    • There are no charges for switching between Lifestyle Portfolios.
    • Transaction fees, custody and other fees are included in the annual management charges but there may be some additional costs associated with the purchase and sale of underlying funds, such as stamp duty.
    • The funds held in your portfolio levy an annual management charge which is separate from the above charges. These are taken directly through adjustments in the pricing mechanism of the funds themselves.

      • a summary of your investment
      • its value
      • any income received (if relevant to your chosen portfolio)
      • any fees charged
      • any purchases and sales we’ve made for you over the period
      • market reports relating to your portfolio to give you an insight on how it’s performing and what we’re doing to help meet your financial objectives
